I'm down another 2 pounds this week! I was hoping for 2.5 so I would hit the 20 pound mark, but fell short. Hopefully this week everything falls into place. And I'm closing in on my first major goal of 229, pre-baby weight. Once I get there, I'm going for a pedicure. So excited!!!

still chuggin' along
Down another 2 pounds for a total of 14 so far this year!
I just added a weight loss ticker to the top of the page. 229 was the weight I was at before I got pregnant with my babies the morning of their transfer, so that's my first big milestone... getting back to pre-baby weight. I'll certainly keep working at it, and once I reach 229 I'll set a new goal for myself. Like I shared in my first post, my babies are one of the driving forces for me to want to lose this weight. I want to be healthy for them. I want to be here for them for a very, very, very long time - until I'm old and gray and they have to change my diapers! So many things are out of my control in terms of accidents and illness. There are quite a few diseases or conditions that can be prevented through living a healthy lifestyle like high blood pressure (which I already have), type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, and obviously obesity and all of the complications associated with that.
If I'm being totally honest, the subject of trying to have another baby has come up (by me). I hope and pray that our family is blessed with another little one (or two, down the road), I don't now if it will happen on its own. If we need medical support again, financially it may not be an option. The way I see it, if I had a successful pregnancy, although it was high risk with multiples, at the starting weight of 229, that's where I want to be (if not less) to start trying to conceive. If I'm able to weigh even less, perhaps since my body has been through one pregnancy before it could happen unassisted, like a fresh healthy start.
